FROM BVD: These started out as laughing larks back in the spring of ’21, and somehow, mainly under the influence of my oh so wicked local dispensary, they turned into a murder of oddball pterodactyls. i refer, of course, to the programs known as Gratuitous Echo, a curious cluster of what was gonna be a 10-part series of shows, but ended up being a clump of 27 one hour forays into the windmills of your mind. Featuring a collection of astrophysical tunes plus some of the corniest and gratuitous dj echo abuse ever broadcast, GE is a show designed to be your sidekick on a slacker Saturday night, when you’re in your fave comfy chair, in your candlelit listening room, perhaps bedecked in headphones, beverage topped off just right, and you ready to see where the magic carpet ride will get to tonight.
