– DJ INTAKE PROGRAM –
What we are NOT looking for:
-Genre-specific or themed programs. [i.e., “Celtic Hour”, “Blues with Bubba”, “Acid Jazz with Acid Hank”-type shows not needed.]
-Contributors that need training, technical or otherwise. KJIV has no studio. Programmers must be self-contained and tech-independent.
We are not currently looking for current affairs or issues-oriented programming, or other spoken word materials, but we DO want to know about such for our not-too-far-off future. Please do send us your info by filling in the questions below.
We ARE looking for dedicated music aficionados who clearly ‘get’ the JiveRadio ethic, such as it is, who have wide-ranging tastes and knowledge of the material, who can talk clearly with some wit, and who care that the listener be entertained, educated & enlightened.
Successful applicants will need to sign a volunteer agreement and commit to at least 3 months of active participation. Sound fun? Fill us in:
Applicants deemed to be suitable for pilot episodes will be contacted by an email request to submit a 1-hour sample show. Applications are considered monthly.

– ARTIST INTAKE PROGRAM –
Artists/bands who would like their materials considered for airplay can apply here. If you don’t hear a genre/style of music on Jive that is close to what you do, save us all time and skip it. While JiveRadio is comparatively wide-ranging and inclusive, there’s a whole lotta music we don’t play. Be aware of that. Musicians must be ‘pro’ to the degree that they have a track record of performing for audiences, or at least highly competent in one’s range. Only digital song files [mp3, m4a, AAC, wav, FLAC] containing meta-tag data [artist, title, album, etc.] will be accepted. Should our jury select you to move forward and submit, you will contacted by email.
