The Reno Blues community, and the world, lost a gifted musician and genuine gentleman last week with the passing of our longtime friend Woody Soules, founder of the stalwart band “Guitar Woody & The Boilers”. Woody’s work will continue gracing Jive’s airwaves ad infinitum.

20 years after Katrina, our pal Harry Schearer releases his 2014 documentary “The Big Uneasy” for free viewing on YouTube, which plainly exposes the myth/false narrative that it was the hurricane that caused the most serious death and destruction. Not so. 20 years later, not many have the confidence that it wouldn’t happen again.
