Our crack technical team reports rime ice over a foot thick on our antenna/pole at Stacker (KJYV transmit site above The Dalles). Good news is, no apparent major damage to antenna. Working on possible backup antenna soon.
Our Bend booster equipment is in place and working but final adjustments need to be made before we can fire it up. Hopefully in mid-Feb.. Such is the saga of Cheers & Lowbucks Radio!

After a weekend of outages in 4 of our 3 states, and a jiveradio.org domain outage today, all the radio plates are once again spinning. Thanks to all our donors of ’21 for getting us this far!

It is thought that our current terrible signal in The Gorge is due to ‘rime ice’ buildup on antenna. Please standby (and catch our web stream) while we wait to get eyes up on Stacker Peak, a known rime ice haven. Could be awhile.
