Saturday Night in Hicksville!
A very special evening is coming up this weekend in West Marin at a longtime favorite Bay Area haunt, Rancho Nicasio. A great ensemble, “The Hot Licks”, has been formed of some original Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks members, including Dan’s longtime lead guitar/band leader Paul Robinson. Coming up to play in the Bay Area this Saturday after a remarkable gig opening for the Kingston Trio at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles last weekend, this dinner show at the Rancho is sure to be a classic that is a must-see for all Dan Hicks fans in the area.
A great menu with great food in a great room with a great band!

FACT: Nobody in the radio world plays more Larry Hosford than we do!
Facebook recently coughed up a newly ‘unearthed’ video of our longtime friend singer, songwriter, and raconteur, the late Larry Hosford and his band at a beer opry in Texas circa 1975. If you get past the first 4 minutes of the drummer & roadie fooling with the drums, the production quality is remarkable, Larry is in good voice and “The Fly By Night Band” is running on all cylinders.

“Americana” from a UK perspective yields a nice interview with Corb Lund
We follow a blog out out the UK that covers not only most of the domestic “Americana” artists we play, but others from around the world. Yes, Americana artists that aren’t American! Shouldn’t that be illegal? Anyway, lots of good interviews, insights & reviews in this publication: https://americana-uk.com/
